Joey Buttafouco’s publicist has set up another headline grabber for his client. In an interview on FOX News, sporting gray “vote for amy and joey” t-shirts Joey and his publicist discussed an upcoming reunion meeting with Amy Fisher. Will the publicity stunt end in a long-term reunion for the two felons and erstwhile lovers? According to reports, the two have been talking again, and are looking forward to the meeting.

The meeting between Joey Buttafouco and Amy Fisher is dwelling to be in Current York’s Central Park. On a FOX News interview, Buttafouco said his primary reason in meeting Ms. Fisher is to find out what was going on at that point in his life. He has repeatedly claimed that he was on medications, and couldn’t assume and reason well, at the time of the incident. When pressed as to whether he expected an intimate reunion with Amy Fisher, he and his publicist nodded. Buttafouco commented that it is strong possibility.

1992, the Buttafouco name grabbed national headlines when Joey Buttafouco’s 16 year-old lover, Amy Fisher, attempted to end his wife. Fisher left Mary Jo Buttafouco with permanent damage following a shot to the head. Amy Fisher went to jail for attempted homicide, and Joey Buttafouco went to jail for statutory rape of the sixteen year-old.

Buttafouco has had several run-ins with the law since 1992. He moved to California in hopes of becoming an actor. It never panned out for more than a few small parts. In 1995 he was arrested for picking up a hooker, who happened to be an undercover agent. Once he got out of prison, he opened an auto shop. He ended up in jail again, this time for insurance fraud. He also lost his license as an auto mechanic.

Unbelievably, Mary Jo Buttafouco remained married to Joey until they moved to California. He remarried, but has once again divorced.

Where does Amy Fisher fit into the equation? In her co-written book, Amy Fisher: My Story, explains her sexual promiscuity as a teen. She claims to have been sexually abused repeatedly, even raped, and to have had an abortion before she ever met Buttafouco at the age of fifteen. Amy and Joey met at his auto repair shop, when she took her car in for repairs. As their relationship developed, one day Joey, then 35, drove the 15 year-old home where their first sexual encounter occurred.

Amy became hyper-focused on Joey. She lost interest in family, friends, and school. Upon Joey’s suggestion, Amy Fisher got a job with an escort service, and started making good money. Amy’s obsession with Joey only grew. Ultimately, she gave him a choice: his wife or her. She was astounded when Joey chose to stay with his wife. She feigned an attempted suicide attempt with superficial cuts on her wrists.

There was a short hiatus in the relationship, when Amy began dating the owner of a local gym. However, before long she and Joey were help together. Amy Fisher then began to obsess on how to come by rid of the biggest obstacle in her relationship with Joey, Mary Joe Buttafouco. Amy claims Joey knew about her plans to kill his wife. She said they discussed them, and he even called her to see if she had a gun. Joey denies any knowledge of Amy’s intent to afflict his wife.

May 17, 1992, at 11:30 A.M. Amy Fisher, armed with a Titan .25 semi-automatic gun, went to the Buttafouco home to raze Mary Joe. She was driven by the accomplice who helped her obtain the gun. Mary Jo Buttafouco and Amy had a short confrontation on the front porch of the Buttafouco home. Amy then knocked Mary Joe to the ground and shot her in the head, leaving her for dead.

Joey Buttafouco fingered Amy’s ex-boyfriend in the shooting. He denied the affair and Amy’s allegations that he had given her the gun. When Mary Joe pulled through the severe head injury, Joey gave up Amy, telling people that she might be the shooter. Mary Joe identified her in a picture as the assailant.

Amy, in exchange for testifying against Joey, the district attorney got her sentence reduced to fifteen years for attempted murder, assault, armed felony, and criminal use of a firearm. Mary Fisher served seven years. In 2003, she married a man 24 years her senior. They have one son and live in Long Island, where Amy has become a columnist.

Amy’s husband suspects that she may want to get back together with Buttafouco. He cites her recent breast enhancement, and interest in the meeting with Buttafouco. He is reported as having expressed concern for his marriage.

The final chapter of this narrative tragedy remains to be written. Viewers of Geraldo at Large, on FOX News, May 13, were encouraged to visit website to vote for whether Joey and Amy should get back together. I cannot fathom the public encouraging or even participating in this farce. Has Amy Fisher grown up, as she claims? Has Joey Buttafouco changed? It didn’t appear that he had. A heinous crime and great tragedy is being revived for cheap publicity. I am interested in seeing how society reacts to the revival of the “Long Island Lolita” story.

Meanwhile, I feel sure we can rely on David Letterman to fall back on the butt of his favorite jokes, Joey Buttafouco.

Insurance on your home is a necessity, but overpaying for it is not. Here are 24 tips for homeowners insurance savings.

1. Comparison shop. Talk to family, friends and coworkers, do research on the Internet, call insurance companies and check consumer guides. Be sure that you get quotes for comparable policies and check the financial health and claims payment reputation of a company before you sign up.

2. Raise your deductible.

3. Insure only your home, not the land it sits on.

4. Insure your home for what it would cost to rebuild it, not its “market value,” which in some cases could be higher.

5. Buy multiple insurance policies (homeowners, auto, life, etc.) from the same company.

6. Install a security system, deadbolt locks, smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors.

7. Install a sprinkler system.

8. Make your home safer from natural disasters like windstorms, hurricanes and floods. For example, you may be able to get a premium discount for adding storm shutters and installing stronger roofing materials.

9. Take advantage of age-related savings on homeowners insurance. Many companies offer senior discounts and discounts for retirees.

10. If you have been with the same insurer for many years, be sure you get any long-term customer discounts on homeowners insurance.

11. Review the value of your possessions. If you no longer have some important items, such as expensive pieces of jewelry or artwork, you may be able to eliminate the insurance policy rider that covers these items or to lower the coverage limit on the rider.

12. Acquire private not government homeowners insurance if possible.

13. Consider issues that affect the cost of homeowners insurance when buying a home. Insurance rates may be lower on a newer home; a home with updated electrical, heating, cooling and plumbing systems; a brick home; a home near a fire hydrant or a fire station; and a home in a low-crime neighborhood.

14. Replace aging electrical, heating, cooling and plumbing systems in your home.

15. Check the C.L.U.E. (Comprehensive Loss Underwriting Exchange) report on a home before buying. This picture will tell you the home’s insurance claim history. Your insurance company will check it before insuring the home, and it may charge higher premiums if the home has a history of claims and, therefore, is perceived to be at high risk of future claims.

16. Don’t smoke and hold advantage of a non-smoker’s discount.

17. Check on group or membership homeowners insurance discounts. You may be able to accumulate discounts through your employer or because you are a member of an alumni group, a professional business or trade association, AARP, AAA, a military organization, or other groups.

18. Pay your premiums automatically and you may get a homeowners insurance premium discount.

19. Pay your premium upfront not monthly for a discount from some insurers.

20. Fetch out if your home qualifies for certification as green. Some insurance companies offer homeowners insurance discounts on green homes. Green homes usually are defined as those with Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design or LEED certification.

21. Maintain a good credit rating.

22. Don’t salvage a dog breed, such as pit bull, Doberman pinscher, Rottweiler, akita, husky, German shepherd, chow chow, or wolf hybrid, considered to be high-risk by insurance companies. Some companies won’t cover these breeds and others charge higher homeowners insurance premiums to those who own them.

23. Train your dog. Even if your dog is covered by your homeowners insurance, one biting incident could cause your policy to be cancelled or your premiums to soar.

24. Don’t’ make small claims. The number of claims, not just the size of the claims, can affect homeowners insurance rates and even the availability of homeowners insurance.

Please ticket that before making changes to your home, such as installing sprinklers or upgrading the roof, in hopes of lowering homeowners insurance premiums, it is a good idea to check with you insurance company about its discount policies for the upgrades or alterations that you notion.

Car insurance can sometimes feel like an unnecessary expense, paying money for something you may never utilize. But it only takes one accident for it to prove invaluable, not to mention states require it. You don’t have to use a fortune when you’re shopping for auto insurance, as these car insurance tips will show you. There are many ways to shop savvy and obtain discounts so that you assign money on your car insurance; some discounts you may already qualify for and not even be aware of. When shopping for car insurance, doing a little homework can save you hundreds, even thousands of dollars a year, which is well worth the extra time and effort. So follow these car insurance tips below and save money on your auto insurance today.

Research How Much Coverage You Need
Before you even begin getting rate quotes, gather out how much minimum coverage your state requires, as this varies from state to state. This number will be your starting point as you shop. Then, evaluate your assets and determine how much extra coverage you should add, if any. If your assets well exceed your bodily injury liability coverage limits, attorneys could go after them in the event of an accident in which you’re at-fault and the other party’s medical bills exceed your coverage limits. Let your personal financial situation guide you, and review this from year to year to make distinct your current coverage reflects your assets.

Compare Rate Quotes
Once you’ve determined how much coverage you need when shopping for car insurance, you can then compare quotes from different companies based on those numbers. This step alone will help you save money on auto insurance that can be quite substantial, so don’t skip it! While you can go to specific companies’ Websites to regain free rate quotes, there are independent sites as well, if you feel more comfortable. As you research your options, hold these things in mind:

• Make sure you’re comparing all annual or monthly rates so your numbers add up correctly.

• Jot down an 800 number for each site to get additional information or questions answered.

• Ogle at the company’s payment policy, including when payments are due and how late or missed payments are handled.

• Find any and all discounts that pertain to you and compare the discounts that companies offer; this can make a big difference to your bottom line.

• Look at ratings from actual consumers as well as from official companies to make sure it’s a reputable company that will take care of you in the event of an accident.

Research All Discounts
Many auto insurance companies offer discounts to consumers for all sorts of reasons; chances are you already qualify for at least a few and don’t even know it. These discounts vary, but it is worth exhausting your options to find the best rates possible. When researching your policy options, find out if these discounts apply to your situation:

• Safe driving record

• Good to excellent credit score

• Safety equipment on your vehicle, such as anti lock brakes, automatic seatbelts, and airbags

• Your occupation (some jobs are considered lower risk to insure)

• Annual mileage (lower yearly mileage can result in a percentage off your policy)

• Affiliations with professional organizations and auto clubs like AAA

• Combining your auto insurance policy with your homeowner’s insurance

• Insuring all household cars with one company

• Choosing a vehicle with a lower rate (check with your insurance company before purchasing a new car)

• Installing or having anti-theft devices in your vehicle

• Taking a driver safety course (this pertains mostly to teens, though some offer a discount for those over 55 who choose one as well)

• Getting an “early shopping discount” by shopping around for a new policy well before your current policy expires

Pick and Choose Your Coverage Options
You don’t have to automatically choose a package offered to you by the insurance company. For instance, you may choose to downgrade or eliminate collision coverage if you have a good driving record or an older vehicle, keeping the comprehensive to cover you in the event your car is stolen. Also, many people opt to occupy more risk by raising their deductible, thus lowering their monthly premium. If you raise your deductible from $500 to $1,000, you’re paying $500 more in the event of an accident, but you’ll build this money in monthly payments, making it well worth the risk for most people.

Decide if You Want to Expend an Agent
Researching your options to save money on car insurance can be a daunting task, especially if it’s a new process for you or you have a lot of exceptions to consider. Using an insurance agent can streamline this process and save you a lot of headaches. There are two types of agents; those who are rush to a specific insurance company and can therefore only direct you to various policies and discounts within that company, and those who are independent. Independent agents will help you shop around with various insurance companies to procure the best deals. My husband and I have used an independent agent for about seven years now and have been very happy with the service and aid we’ve been given. This agent was also able to help us when we bought our first home, switching our company so that we received a more substantial discount when combining our home and auto insurance policies. An agent can also be helpful in the event of an accident; he or she can work with the insurance company to walk you through the process of filing a claim and getting all of the money you’re entitled to in the event of an accident. Of course, if you’re just looking for cheap, easy car insurance that meets your state’s minimums, buying direct from a company without an agent may be the best option for you.

What do you sing is the strangest fuel for a unusual television show; I mean a television show where the producers and networks admit it’s all scripted and acted? (Unlike reality TV which is all scripted and acted, but which producers and network execs deny to the death.) What about, say, a Saturday Night Live skit being worked into episodic television? No? How about turning the classic movie Casablanca into a television present? It really happened. David Soul-Hutch from Starsky and Hutch-played the Bogart fragment.

Not too long ago ABC announced that it is in talks to develop a new half hour sitcom based on the exploits of…the Geico commercial cavemen, to be titled, appropriately enough, Cavemen. Now I know what you’re thinking. Whether it’s a bad idea or a helpful idea, I must surely be against it on general anti-consumerist principles, right? Well, not so much.

I actually think this could work. I must admit it. Those Geico caveman commercials are entertaining. I’m one of those guys who instinctively reaches for the remote during commercial time, but I do stop to watch a new Geico caveman commercials. For one reason: They are far more intelligent and well-written than 95% of what’s on television. The caveman commercials feature a kind of deep, biting humor that I bask in it. There’s a darkness to their very message, a cry for understanding of a minority group that hits home in all too familiar a way. You could rob those cavemen out and put in Muslims or Hispanics today and turn it into a television drama. The fact that the producers and ABC want to make it into a comedy will, I hope, not lessen the underlying message of judging people based on insufficient information.

The show would allegedly place the cavemen in Altanta and follow their lives as they daily struggle with the staunch same kinds of prejudice that they face in the commercials. (One can only fantasize about a special appearance by the late, great Phil Hartman reprising his Unfrozen Caveman Lawyer character.) The cavemen television pilot is being written by the same guy who wrote most of the commercials, so there is reason to hope that the same kind of humor that is just a half step removed from angry tirade would be retained as part of the driving force behind the show.

Of course, any translation from the original to television show is bound to be diluted. Even MASH, which is arguably the best movie to television translation, lost most of its surreal and genuinely black humor in the move to the small screen. The fear, of course, is that the caveman sitcom would degenerate into easy laughs as the expense of the caveman, rather than what they are now. The cavemen in the commercials are not the objects of scorn, it is the people within their orbit who refuse to accumulate beyond the strereotype. Unfortunately, that scorn is all too often directed as stereotypes of actual living groups.

When most people think of insurance, they think of Auto Insurance and Homeowner’s Insurance. It seems odd to me that the most important thing, your life, is the last thing most people think to insure.
There are several types of life insurance, but the most common are Term Life Insurance and Whole Life Insurance. Term life Insurance covers you for a specified amount for a specified period of time (usually 10, 20, or 30 years from the date the policy is in force). Whole Life Insurance covers you for a specified amount until death or the insurance company’s specified maturity age (usually age 100).

I am a firm believer that everyone needs life insurance because everyone is eventually going to die, whether you like it or not. Once someone sees the need for purchasing life insurance, the question then becomes, “How much should I buy? ”
Everyone has a different need for life insurance, and your needs may change over time. Here is a basic way of determining the amount of life insurance you need.

First, you must think of what would happen to your family upon your death. Would they need to cover burial costs? Would your spouse be able to survive on one income? Would your children be able to go to college? Would the house need to be paid off? Would there be debt that needed to be paid for?

So, to figure out an amount of life insurance, you would add up these needs. Contemplate of the cost of burial costs, add in enough to pay off your mortgage (if this is something you’d like to do), add in money for the children’s education (if desired), add money to pay off other debt, and add money to replace your income.
If you are adding in money to replace your income, you need to figure out how much of your income needs to be replaced in order for your family to be comfortable, and how long that income would need to be replaced (i.e. $20,000 a year for 5 years = $100,000).

Once you’ve figured out an amount, then you need to divide it into permanent and temporary needs. Permanent needs are those that will never go away (i.e. burial costs), and temporary needs are those that might not be needed as you age (i.e. providing for your children’s education). For instance, if you die when your children are 25, 27, and 29, you probably don’t need to worry about sending them to college.

As an insurance agent, I can tell you that if you divide your needs into permanent and temporary, you can save money on policy premiums. I suggest purchasing Term insurance for the temporary needs (Term policies are less expensive) and a Whole Life Policy for the permanent needs. That way, your policies adapt with your changing needs, and establish you money as well.

Car insurance can be a significant monthly expense, especially if you believe a new vehicle or are leasing a vehicle for an extended period of time. You may be paying too much for car insurance if you find that your insurance premium is going up every six months or each year even when you have a clean driving record, or if you find that several competitor rates are much lower.

Many people don’t realize how easy it is to negotiate a lower auto insurance rate, and there are several things you can do to lower your premium without sacrificing quality coverage for your vehicle. Here are just five secrets to negotiating a lower auto insurance rate:

1. Ask about different coverage options. Insurance agents are trained to offer you the best possible coverage, but that doesn’t mean you will acquire the least expensive premium. Make sure that you are investing in a policy that provides coverage for what you really need, and don’t be terrorized to say no to “extras” such as rental car reimbursement or towing, which are typically covered by AAA anyway.

2. Make sure the insurance company is aware of safety features and efficiency ratings. Many insurance companies offer lower rates to drivers who bear a fuel-efficient or hybrid vehicle, as well as to those who acquire vehicles equipped with anti-theft devices and extra security features such as a GPS tracking service or alarm system. Make sure you provide a detailed explanation of your vehicle when submitting your application or when requesting a re-evaluation of your account so that you can secure the best available rate.

3. Ask about discounts for multiple policy holders. If your car insurance company also offers other types of insurance, such as life insurance and homeowners insurance, you may be able to negotiate a better rate by purchasing your policies all in one place. Many insurance companies extend a discount to customers who consolidate their insurance policy needs.

4. Let your insurance agent know you’re shopping around. A quick phone call is all it takes to get a quote from several insurance companies. Let your existing insurance provider know that you have received competitive quotes from other providers and are considering switching. Your existing insurance company may be able to offer you a better quote and may even re-evaluate your account to make sure that their rates are still competitive.

5. Request more information about discounts and incentives you are eligible for. Many insurance companies will extend a “good driver” discount or incentives for long-time policyholders. Get in touch with an insurance agent so that you can discuss any benefits, discounts and special offers you may be entitled to.

With money being tight these days, it is important to budget accordingly. Now more than ever, it is important that you take a look at your expenses and try to eliminate services that you no longer need. Now is also a good time to find cheaper alternatives for services that you absolutely must have. A big money saver for example, is finding a way to lower your auto insurance.

Many Americans pay too much for their auto insurance for one simple reason, lack of research. If you are looking to lower your insurance premiums, it is important that you shop around and look at multiple offers. Finding the right auto insurance company ultimately depends on the following factors.

Having a clean driving record: The best device to save on auto insurance is to be able to prove to insurance companies that you are not a liability. This can be done by maintaining a shipshape driving portray. Avoid having multiple traffic violations at all costs.

Shop for quotes: If you are serious about saving money on your auto insurance, you are going to have to shop around and gather competing quotes. There are two ways that you can shop for quotes. You can either visit your local insurance offices, or you can opt to do your research online. Obtain at least ten price quotes before you start to narrow down your search.

Ask for available discounts: Many auto insurance companies offer a wide variety of discounts for recent and existing members. You can save extra for example, if you insure your home and car with the same company. The possibility for discounts are endless. Get sure to ask your insurance agent about all the possible ways that you can save.

Understanding your coverage: Before signing an auto insurance policy, make sure you understand the coverage that you are receiving. You want to avoid signing a policy that is charging you for services that are not necessarily needed.

Finding a balance: Although your main intent is to save money, you want to make sure not to sacrifice price for quality. You eventually want to find a balance between a reputable company and one that saves you the most money.

Whether you are currently insured or plan on getting an insurance policy in the arrive future, it is always a good idea to secure the best auto insurance rates available. By doing so you can potentially save hundreds a year on auto insurance premiums.

Although San Diego golf courses and San Diego public golf courses abound, one of the best courses in this warm and wonderful part of California is the san diego riverwalk golf course. A public golf course that was once the host to the PGA Tour, today’s San Diego Riverwalk Golf Course has been updated a bit from earlier years, but loses none of its vintage appeal for golfers who take advantage of this improbable course and book tee times.

The San Diego Riverwalk Golf Course, which opened in 1997 and was designed by Ted Robinson Sr., is built along the scenic San Diego River, and the river plays a large share in the layout of the golf course. Riverwalk is the only one of the San Diego golf courses that features twenty-seven holes that are par seventy-two. Created out of three nine-hole courses, San Diego Riverwalk Golf Course abounds with water. Water is used on half of the twenty-seven holes, and a beautiful waterfall is featured on the signature hole of the course.

Earlier in its history, this southern California public golf course was known by several different names. In the 1960s the course was known as the Mission Valley Country Club, and later was called the Stardust Country Club before achieving its current name. In years past, San Diego Riverwalk Golf Course has been the host for the Farmers Insurance Commence, which is part of the PGA Tour, although it was formerly known as the San Diego Open. From the 1960s until the 1980s, celebrity Andy Williams hosted this popular event.

In addition to the San Diego Riverwalk Golf Course, many golfers also spend quality play time at other San Diego golf clubs and San Diego public golf courses. Popular san diego golf clubs include the lovely Vineyard at Escondido. Here you will experience a scenic layout that winds through acres of verdant wetlands with stunning mountain backdrops. Lush, rolling fairways meander along wildlife preserves. One of the popular San Diego public golf courses is the Lomas Santa Fe Country Club, With eighteen holes and rated at par seventy-two, many golfers enjoy the fabulous views of the Pacific Ocean while playing the wide fairways and trying to stay clear of the bunkers. Child care is available here, as is a fitness facility, jacuzzi, spa, sauna room and swimming pool, so that the entire family will have an active time here.

Book golf course tee times at these and other top San Diego golf courses easily online.

It may possibly seem too very good to be true, but even the worst drivers among us can regularly lower their auto insurance premiums By making use of a few strategic techniques, most insurance rates can be lowered by as significantly as 30 The longer you remain with the business, the deeper the discount, to the maximum discount allowed.

Autos with Low-cost Repair ExpendituresAverage model cars are frequently cheaper to repair, and for that reason, cheaper to insure High performance or luxury cars, on the other hand, come with additional pricey insurance rates since they are either additional high priced to repair or a lot more likely to want repair And whilst rates might vary between insurance organizations, all will charge higher rates for much more pricey, premium automobiles If you should drive a high end automobile, do not settle for the cheapest insurance rate from a small recognized organization After all, a dependable, legitimate firm might charge a small additional, but you can trust them to make great on their insurance policies On the other hand, a low cost insurance carrier could supply you with a slip of paper proving that you are insured, but when push comes to shove, they are a lot more likely to come across loopholes in the fine print.Sources:www.pueblo.gsa.gov/cic_text/cars/autoinsu/autoinsu.htm
frugalliving.about.com/od/…/tp/Auto_Insurance.htm
www.edmunds.com/reviews/list/top10/116958/article.html
consumerist.com/…/how-to-decrease-your-insurance-premiums.html .

When you collect into an auto accident, the last thing you want to think about is whether or not you have the right car insurance coverage. Shopping for insurance might not sound like a fun way to spend your day, but investing a bit of time now can provide peace of mind when you hit the road.

Types of Auto Insurance Coverage

There are three main types of auto insurance coverage. Liability insurance pays for damages you cause to others and is legally required by your state. The minimum level of protection you must purchase varies, but drivers often choose to purchase more coverage than what is legally required.Collision coverage is an auto insurance policy that pays for damages when you cause an accident and will be required by your lender if you have a car loan. Comprehensive coverage pays for damages when the accident is caused by something besides a collision, such as theft or flooding. This coverage is often bundled with collision insurance and required for drivers with an auto loan.

The need for additional auto insurance coverage depends on where you live, the value of the vehicle you are driving, and your personal financial situation. Some states require personal injury protection and/or uninsured motorist coverage. Gap insurance is typically recommended if you owe more on your vehicle than it is worth. Roadside assistance coverage could be useful if you are a frequent traveler.

Which Car Insurance Company Is Best?

Many people simply choose their car insurance based on the trace of coverage, but financial considerations are only part of the puzzle. You want to be confident that your insurance company will be available to acknowledge your questions and help you in filing a claim if needed.

Get auto insurance quotes online to compare prices, then search for information regarding each insurance company you are considering before making your final decision. Recommendations can be helpful when you want to compare car insurance, but sources should be evaluated carefully. A recommendation from a friend or family member may not be proper, as this provides only one person's opinion on a particular company. However, J.D. Power Consumer Center ratings are the result of a comprehensive study of customer satisfaction, policy prices, claims handling, and insurance options. Local body shops are another fairly reliable source of information on insurance companies, since they must regularly work with claims adjusters in order to gather a customer's vehicle repaired.
